A December 20, 1988 letter from Nikki Craft to Larry Landrum of the Nudist/Naturist Leadership Council responding to an article by John Kyff in Bare In Mind about the feminist plaintiffs’ withdrawal from the Cape Cod case. Craft states that Kyff wrote without reading the plaintiffs’ six-page statement or contacting the plaintiffs or their attorney, disputes his claim that The Naturist Society had terminated N.O.P.E., and reaffirms N.O.P.E. as an independent political organization. She asks whether Kyff was speaking for the NNLC and requests a written reprimand and public apology if he was not. The letter also addresses the removal of Michelle Handler, Lee Baxandall’s effort to discourage publication of the plaintiffs’ statement, and what Craft describes as a double standard within organized naturism.
